Mr. Wallach was absent, so Dr. Batman-Levin taught the class.
Students were given two Hebrew exercises:
They had two different conversations which they were to read and then
answer two questions concerning each conversation. The students then wrote their answers in Hebrew.
The second exercise required the students to read a list of words
in Hebrew and determine what the word was in English. The papers were
collected and will be reviewed with Mr. Wallach next Tuesday.
The students took a short break to have a small snack.
Students read from Kings I, Chapter 22 29-40 and then answered several questions about that passage.
Working in groups of 2 or 3 students, the
class began to create posters depicting Elijah and the false prophets of
Baal and Elijah's encounter with Ahab regarding Navoth’s vineyard.
Class will begin at 9:00 am February 27th in our classroom. We will then go upstairs at 9:30am for the Bat Mitzvah of Julia Aptekar.
Mazel Tov, Julia!
